A Fresh Model for Asynchronous Support
I've evolved my teaching model for adults to a personalised, on-demand text/video-centred mentorship, bundled with Piano Portals online course access.
This aligns with the Piano Portals philosophy in:
- prioritising honest troubleshooting over maintaining familiar routines
- rewarding self-motivation, self-reflection and self-awareness
- removing the stress of 'performing' to a teacher on cue
- shifting the focus to cultivating autonomous practice processes
Whilst the online courses were designed primarily for self-exploration, I appreciate the value of custom, contextual feedback. I'm aware many adults thrive on the routine of regular 1-2-1s. There are many teachers that offer this. I've concluded this is not the most efficient way to effect Piano Portals breakthroughs. In fact, the 1-2-1 model may actively discourage self-discovery for some.
This flexible model enables me to:

- tailor guidance around pre-existing, carefully curated content
